Paull was called to the bar in 1971 and joined Soloway Wright in 1973. He is a graduate of Mount Allison University and Dalhousie Law School. Paull has a diverse commercial litigation practice. He has a special interest and expertise in construction and municipal litigation, which complements the firm's real estate and development practice.

Paull has successfully pursued to Judgment claims relating to a wide range of commercial and other matters, including environmental damage, insurance coverage, major fire losses and faulty construction.

Paull also pursues claims for professional negligence. He has experience with claims that have called into question the conduct of lawyers, engineers, architects, brokers, accountants and physicians.

Paull has lectured at the University of Ottawa and has presented papers for The Law Society of Upper Canada, The Canadian Bar Association and The County of Carleton Law Association.
