 Lawrence Soloway was educated at the University of Toronto and Queen's University. He joined Soloway Wright upon his call to the bar in 1976. He practices in the area of business law and insolvency matters. Lawrence has lectured at the Bar Admission Course and at continuing education programs held by the Law Society of Upper Canada and other entities. He is active in several local community organizations, and has served as Chair of the Ottawa United Jewish Appeal campaign and as Chair of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Endowment campaign from 2000 until 2004. He is currently the Chair of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation and a member of its Board of Directors of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. Since 2003, Lawrence has been an Officer of the Jewish Community Council of Ottawa, and was awarded the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal for significant contribution in 2002.
